Hi everyone. Long time with no update. It has been crazy this year and not really in a good way. I would like to thank everyone that has been so supportive of me the last couple of months. Anyone who knows me knows that I have been struggling with some health issues on and off the last couple of years. They seemed to have flared up again in full vigor at the beginning of this year and just wouldn't back down. Without boring anyone too much, I was recently diagnosed with what is called reactive hypoglycemia. Kind of a fancy term for low blood sugar but as with many things in my life it can't just be that simple. See when most people eat carbohydrates and sugars it make their blood sugar levels go up. With me it actually makes my levels go down. This causes a lot a shakiness, fatigue, clamminess and a whole other host of not so great symptoms.
It took quite a while to come to this diagnosis but it has changed my life for the better and I finally feel normal again!!! Now with a balance diet focusing on lowering carbohydrates especially processed carbohydrates, I feel like a new woman! And what will I do with my new lease on life? Well blog of course! I hope to really get this thing up and running again bigger an better than ever.
The kids have missed the posts and have a list of suggestions to write about. I have a list of my own things I have been wanting to share including great craft ideas, recipes, activities and more. Throughout the next couple weeks I'll try to catch everyone up on what we have been up to the last couple of months.
